LEND A HAND to the Emergency Cold Weather Shelter (ECWS)!
Our ministry with the families who are without permanent housing will conclude at the end of April since the ECWS is a cold weather program of the city. The staff and volunteers are working hard to support families as they work hard to find housing before the end of April and/or figure out where they can go when our ECWS concludes.
During the next six weeks we need volunteers to help on Monday nights. We staff the ECWS from 5 pm on Monday evening until 9 am on Tuesday morning. Evening hospitality covers from 5 pm to 9:30 pm and the overnight hospitality covers from 9 pm to 9 am. Volunteers come between 6-9:30 for the evening hospitality. The overnight is divided into shifts, so no person must stay up the entire time. We can work with those who need to come later or leave earlier to meet family or work demands.
Thanks to those who have been providing meals for the families. The families are very grateful and appreciate the variety of dinners they are receiving.
