Bring JOY to others this Advent and Christmas Season!
Instead of doing a traditional Angel Tree this Advent First Presbyterian Church has selected the following to focus on this year.
Food Pantry Boxes for the Children’s Lunchbox
Many of our families in Anchorage do not have enough money to buy food for their families.
The Children’s Lunchbox is stepping up to make sure no child goes hungry in Anchorage by providing Food Pantry Boxes for these families. A Food Pantry Box is a shoe box filled with food items that will make a meal for a family of four. Click to see the menus, food items needed, and directions for assembling the Food Pantry Boxes. Boxes can be brought to the church through Sunday, Dec. 20.
Socks for Gambell Presbyterian Church
Help us send 500 pairs of warm winter men’s or womens’ socks and candy canes to our partner Presbyterian Church in Gambell for their annual Christmas celebration. Socks can also be dropped off at the church until December 14. Call before coming to make sure someone is at the church.
Make Christmas special for our families in need
The holidays can be a difficult time for some of the families at FPC and the Anchor Presbyterian Church, the native PC(USA) congregation that meets in our building. You can give a donation to First Presbyterian Church and earmark it: Deacon’s Fund and the money will be used to support those who need a bit of help with Christmas gifts or food this season.
Give a Gift that Makes a Difference!
Our Alternative Gift Market is virtual this year! Check this page and you will find lots of ways you can support our local non-profit agencies, First Presbyterian Church and our PC(USA) missions by giving one of these gifts to a friend or family member.
