Sunday Morning Opportunities
Adult Sunday School meets at 9:30am in the library. “Faith Lessons” led by Scott Gruhn is a DVD series by Ray Vander Laan called “Faith Lessons.” The series takes viewers on a tour of various places in the Holy Land and through geography and archeology challenges participants to reconsider how these lessons from the past impact how we live out our faith today.
Breakfast Bible Club (children, youth, adults) meets at 9:30 downstairs in the second room on the left. Join us for breakfast and help us work on worship banners to hang in the sanctuary.
The Childcare Center is staffed by two adults and opens at 9:30am for parents who need childcare for children under age 5.
Godly Play is a faith formation experience for elementary age children that meets during the second half of the worship service. Godly Play teaches children to listen for God and to make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in their lives.
Youth Group is a joint venture with other area Presbyterian PC(USA) Churches. Presbyterian Youth from Eagle River, Immanuel, and First Pres meet regularly for fellowship, study, recreation and service projects. Presbyterian Youth Group meets at the different churches and is designed for youth in 7th-12th grade.
Christian Education also organizes seasonal events to support faith formation for all ages. Past events have included an Advent Party, Epiphany Party, and a Lent Event. Events such as these are usually held following worship on a designated Sunday and include a simple meal, faith formation experiences, and fellowship.
